Trevon Young earns All-State basketball honors

Trevon Young, Braden River’s basketball star turned Florida Gators football signee, has been named to the All-State boys basketball team announced by the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches and Source Hoops.

The 6-6 Young, who finished his career with more than 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, was selected to the Class 7A third team. He is the first player from Braden River to earn all-state basketball honors.

Young finished his career with 1,465 points and 1,121 rebounds. Last season he averaged a double-double for the second year in a year putting up 17 points and 12 rebounds per game. He also averaged 1.5 blocks.
