Florida's Rainey among national leaders in all purpose running

Chris Rainey's big day against Tennessee last weekend moved him up the charts. The Florida running back now ranks eighth overall in the country (FBS) in All-Purpose running yardage averaging 187.7 yards per game.

In three games, the senior has amassed 306 yards rushing and 214 in receiving with 43 yards in punt return yardage. He is second in the Southeastern Conference in All Purpose running behind South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore.

Florida head coach Will Muschamp says he is not sure whether there is a more versatile player in the country than Rainey.

"This guy competes, comes to work with his hard hat on doesn't complain. He talks a lot, but doesn't complain about anything," Muschamp said. "He works awful hard. Playing football at Florida is important to him and it's important to me. He is a guy who is an example of what you want as far as a competitor is concerned and how he has conducted himself within this program."
